How Much should I Put in Savings?

A good starting point is to save around 10% to 20% of your income, but there is no single rule that works for everyone.

If your income is tight, even 5% is a good start. The main goal is to build an emergency fund first, usually enough to cover a few months of basic expenses. After that, you can save for bigger goals like a home, education, travel, or retirement.

I also think consistency matters more than the exact percentage. Saving a small amount every month is better than saving a lot only when you have extra money.
