Do some research before giving a number. Know the typical salary for the role and your location, then give a reasonable range based on your skills and experience.
Don’t negotiate only salary. You can also ask about bonuses, remote work, leave, training, or a joining date. Be polite and realistic. Even for your first job, it’s okay to ask.
