What Should I Teach My Children About Personal Finance?

I think the most important thing is to teach children that money is limited and choices matter. They should learn the difference between needs and wants, how to save, and why it is smart to think before buying something.

It also helps to give them small chances to manage money themselves. They can save part of their allowance, set a simple goal, and make mistakes without serious consequences.

I would also teach them that earning money takes work and that borrowing money is not free. Basic habits learned early can make money much easier to manage later in life.
